THE BAND BIO:
Maximum Friction is a metal power trio from South Florida. The band's roots and influences are derived from the classics of Black Sabbath, Rush, and Metallica, to more modern-day music such as Slipknot, Pantera, and The Warning.
Composed of the lead singer and bassist, Jasmine Marchi, the guitarist, Jaden Garcia, and the drummer, Anton McCampbell, the three have been collaborating to make one unique sound under one name.
Though the band started young, they began to gain attention when the bassist and guitarist first met in 2021. They started to make a name for themselves, playing local shows and opening up for many tribute bands and national acts, such as Plush, Hardwire(Metallica tribute), Kiss Alive, Nicko McBrain's Titanium Tart, Joey Belladonna's tribute to Dio, and more…
Fast forward to 2023, where the band was completed with the addition of their drummer, Anton McCampbell. With his influence of Hardcore, early Thrash, and the Death Metal scene, the band's writing and performance skyrocketed, finding the band's image and sound.
All the members are well-seasoned musicians with tons of live experience, having just recently opened for Nicko McBrain’s tribute on July 25 and 26. They also opened for the national act Plush on September 12. The band continues to push forward by establishing their online and digital presence with the release of their first single, “Beautiful Lie”, and second single, "Patronize".
FOR THE FUTURE & BEYOND:
While the band has just started to push out their originals, they are an ongrowing presence in the music scene. After the release of their singles “Beautiful Lie” and "Patronize", they are scheduled to release 1 more single within October-November before their first full album release, scheduled for December 10th. The group plans to grow their audience reach virtually with their originals, as well as physically by performing all over Florida and soon other states.
Even though they intend to go towards only playing originals in the future, they are well-versed in a multitude of covers that they have made their own. From Metaling up tunes like White Wedding by Billy Idol, to playing the songs of 3 of the Big Four(Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax), to covering the classics of Black Sabbath and Rush, the band can comfortably play 2 ½ hours worth of music.

THE MEMBERS:
Jasmine Marchi(16 yrs) - The bass player and singer of Maximum Friction, also has quite a reputation by herself. Starting her musical journey around the age of 3 or 4, Jasmine’s love for music grew. By the age of 4, she started playing violin for school, which she still currently does(attending a school of the arts for violin). At the age of 7, she picked up her bass, and by 9, she was singing too. Starting Maximum Friction, Jasmine has made many friends and gained lots of experience up to now. Her most notable endeavor alone was performing in Thailand with her friend Petch.
Anton McCampbell(19 yrs) - The oldest member of Maximum Friction covering drums and back up vocals, had his love with drums at a young age. Anton has been quoted saying “I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a drum in front of me”. By the time he was 4yrs old he was working with M.I. Instructor Christopher Maloney, having some of his first shows at the age 5. He started working with recording artist Patrick Johansson at 9yrs old, and Mike Healey during covid. Anton started his professional music career at 18yrs old, and has played 150+ shows and recorded 5 releases to date.
Jaden Garcia(14 yrs) - The youngest member, lead guitarist, and backup singer of Maximum Friction, started his musical journey playing violin in the first grade. His influence of rock and metal was first inspired by the game Guitar Hero. With his love of music growing, Jaden was eager to get on stage and play. Dabbling in many instruments, mainly drums, he focused solely on guitar starting at the age of 8. Ever since then, he's been playing guitar with passion and dedication. One of his biggest influences is Synyster Gates; Jaden says, “His style and skill have inspired me to keep pushing my limits.”
